As part of MTV's Indie Music Month, we're premiering videos from some of the brightest independent acts you need on your musical radar -- and on your iPod. And today's video is from the mighty Austin, Texas psych rock band The Black Angels, who deliver a moody clip for their song "Haunting At 1300 McKinley."
You know those days where you feel like the city is just out to get you? Well, meet the protagonist of "Haunting At 1300 McKinley." The city is literally out to get him. Tripping him up and knocking him down. The video, directed by Philip Andelman, appears to have been shot in Paris, though 1300 McKinley is an actual address in the band's native Austin.
The Black Angels' sound won't feel unfamiliar to fans of The Black Keys or White Stripes, though Black Angels hearken back to a kind of psychedelic-blues feel we can never really get nearly enough of.
