Chris Brown's fans have spoken. After a tumultuous past couple years, the R&B singer has emerged back on top with his fourth album F.A.M.E.
The LP, led by the singles "Yeah 3X," "Look at Me Now," and "Beautiful People," debuts at No. 1 on this week's chart with 270,000 copies sold in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
F.A.M.E., an acronym for Forgiving All My Enemies and Fans Are My Everything, marks Breezy's first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and second-best sales week of his career. His 2005 eponymous debut dropped at No. 2, 2007's Exclusive landed at No. 4, and 2009's Graffiti settled at No. 7.
The 21-year-old celebrated his success by bigging up Team Breezy. "I wanna thank all of my fans for making my album number 1 in the country!! I love you! We did it," he tweeted. "I live for my music!! I survive for my fans!!!"
Elsewhere on the chart, Jennifer Hudson scores a No. 2 debut with her sophomore set I Remember Me, which moved 165,000 units. The digital-only charity compilation Songs for Japan sold 68,000 copies and enters at No. 6, while Bobby V's Fly on the Wall rests at No. 9 with 38,000 and Lupe Fiasco's third album Lasers drops from No. 3 to 10 with an additional 29,000 copies sold.
