Lil Wayne Detained in Texas but Escapes Drug Charges

Since Lil Wayne pleaded guilty to gun charges in New York, everyone is looking for him to mess up. Two days ago in Texas, Wayne’s tour buses were pulled over by the U.S. Border Patrol on his way from Hildago, TX to Laredo, TX. A total of 11 people were detained including Wayne.

It is said that marijuana was found on two of the bus after the authorities brought out the K-9 unit. Drugs were only found on the buses and not on any particular individual. After a few hours, Lil Wayne and his entourage were released.

It’s evident that Wayne is making sure that his nose is kept clean before he serves his sentence that starts in February. One thing we can’t grasp is, why did they pull his buses over in the first place.

FUNNY: Jim Jones & Freekey Zekey DIS EACH OTHER ON THE SAME TRACK "I Felt I Needed To Respond"

Chris Brown kills Twitter account after claim of album 'blackballing'

CNN) -- Days after Chris Brown took to his Twitter page accusing stores of "blackballing" his new album, "Graffiti," the singer's account was deleted after he left a final message to his fans.

"I WANNA THANK MY FANS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT," said Brown's final tweet, posted Monday afternoon. "I LOVE YALL. GOODBYE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Over the weekend, Brown went on a tirade after he visited a Wal-Mart store in Connecticut and didn't see his album on shelves.

"The didnt even have my album in the back ... not on shelves, saw for myself," he tweeted.

Brown said he spoke to the manager, who had no answers.

"the manager told me that when there are new releases its mandatory to put em on the shelves. BUT NO SIGN OF #GRAFFITI. BS," he tweeted.

He continued to say that Alicia Keys' new album was stocked and ready for release, though it wasn't due out until Tuesday.
Video: Chris Brown blows up on Twitter

Fans began instantly replying with unverified stories about their attempts to buy Brown's CD. The singer began retweeting, or forwarding the tweets out, some of which claimed when fans asked when the shelves would be restocked they were told "never," and allegations that managers said they didn't support "woman-beaters."

News of his outrage spread quickly and many media outlets began reporting on his complaints.

Brown began using Twitter as a way to connect to his fans after he pleaded guilty and was sentenced for beating his then-girlfriend Rihanna.

Whether it was an attempt to garner favorable public relations in the wake of an image-shattering event or just a late adaptation to the microblogging craze, Brown had spent the months after the incident using his Twitter account to reach and connect with 172,366 followers.

He tweeted regularly thanking his fans for their continued support and sounding off after concerts.

It was unclear what specifically sparked Brown to delete his account, named "mechanicaldummy," He had started the day with a normal "good morning" message to his fans.

50 Cent, War Games 2.0 [XXcLusive Outtakes] posted by xxl staff

Photography by Clay Patrick McBride

XXL: Before I Self Destruct was supposed to come out back in 2007, before Curtis; how much different is the album now from then?

50 Cent: It’s a huge difference—production changes, and me being able to reevaluate what I was trying to say. Like, there was nothing the matter with what I created the first time; it was just, to me, I don’t have a really strong attachment to my music. I’ve learned to create and move forward.

XXL: So you don’t really fall in love with one song and…

50 Cent: Fall in love with it? Nah. I’ll listen to the music, enjoy it, and it’ll be around for a while, and then I’ll be like, “Aight, let’s do something else.” Because, when you feel like you have a hit record; do you know what you do? You go and write another one, and then another one after. While you’re in that right mind state and mindset to create good music, you should just keep creating it as much as possible instead of just sitting there and listening to the same song over and over again, like, “This is it right there! This is it!” Sitting there forever. Instead, I write it, and then move to the next one and move to the next one and move to the next one.

XXL: Who does 50 Cent listen to for inspiration?

50 Cent: You’d be surprised by what I listen to. When ain’t nothing going on…. [KRS-One] did some shit with Buckshot, and I listened to that. I still listen to the Black Moon record.

XXL: Enta Da Stage?

50 Cent: Yeah. I’ll put that shit on. I was hustling at that point, in the street in the street. Then I’m able to get in that zone, and write something that comes from that actual time period. Music marks time. There will be a point when somebody older than you hears an old song and starts bopping their head, like, “You don’t know nothin’ about this, young buck.” They were actually in the nightclub when that music was actually poppin’. I wanted to make a record that had the whole aura. You see my Forever King mixtape? I went back to those songs because that music was inspirational music. “Let’s keep rising to the top; don’t let nobody stop us.” And, the things that they had there was blatantly inspirational. That was hot.

XXL: What other projects besides Black Moon from that era did you go back to for inspiration?

50 Cent: I just ran through [my stash]. I had, like, a lot of the material there for my personal pleasure. I used to make CDs before I made the album. I’d take my favorite records, my favorite 14 or 15 records and put them on a disc, and then play them while I’m running and feel like my album would have to top that, to me personally. I feel like I did it this time. This is the album where, they’re gonna hear it and say, “This shit is better than Get Rich of Die Tryin’.” That’s what I set out to do when I started this record.

XXL: How do you top a classic debut?

50 Cent: It’s not my curse—we’re all cursed with the same curse. Nas, Illmatic. Jay-Z, Reasonable Doubt. So many artists, their first projects. Because you don’t get a second shot at a first impression, and fans can’t top that intensity again because you were new at that point. A lot of those records didn’t actually connect as well as Get Rich or Die Tryin’; those shits were gold records. They had a specific core; if you ask Nas or Jay-Z, they’ll probably tell you that they wrote those records for their hood. And they didn’t sell a lot of their records at that point because it was specifically for their hood. Mine’s happened to be fucking aggressive but it had those big-ass hit records on it. It felt darker because I had already wrote all those [mixtape] records for my hood before the first album actually came out.

XXL: Before the album dropped you did VH1’s Behind the Music. Was that something that they’ve been pushing on you for years, and you felt like now was the right time for it?

50 Cent: This is the first time I really considered it, because of where I’m at in my career, and as a result, I now allow my aunt and my grandparents to speak from their perspectives on me. A lot of times, we pick and choose. I think they forget that there’s an art form, and that… We use the tools of the art form to expand upon ourselves, and there’s times when the record is skipping and we’re repeating things. Doing it again. Like, a lot of aggressive content on my first project, I’m sure that that’s what translated the strongest. I’m giving them something that’s so normal to me in my presentation.

XXL: What is it about this point in your career that you feel makes this the right time?

50 Cent: You have to be very strategic. I wrote five songs for this project before the Curtis album, under the Before I Self-Destruct concept, before I wrote Curtis.

XXL: What made you pump the brakes and switch from BISD to Curtis?

50 Cent: I stopped and I started Curtis because I felt like it was the perfect idea at that time period for me creatively. And what I did was… My grandfather is Curtis, Sr., and his firstborn is Curtis, Jr, and I’m his first grandchild. So, I’m Curtis Jackson III, and that was my third album. The concept for me was to make the Curtis album feel human.

XXL: Do you think people got that?

50 Cent: Because there were moments that were soft, or weren’t as progressive as the things I did in the past, because there was a shortage of artists that could create the harsh realities from a G-Unit space, people resisted that album. They got upset with me because of the Curtis album, but if I play it for you right now and you hear “Curtis 187” and you hear “My Gun Go Off,” you go, “Wow, that shit was hot.” It had “I Get Money” and “Ayo Technology.” It just didn’t feel like the same 50 Cent that they met during Get Rich or Die Tryin’.

XXL: Was that a response that you anticipated?

50 Cent: That’s what my intentions were—to make something different. See, from an artist’s perspective, you don’t want to be put in a box, where you gotta be one thing and just be that one thing until they’re tired of you. You wanna venture off and do something creatively that makes great sense. My first family, I wouldn’t have wrote “I Get Money”; I wrote, “I was broke and now I’m rich,” like, “Poor Lil’ Rich Nigga.” That project… “I Get Money” was actually written because of the Vitamin Water deal and that success. I said, “I took quarter-water and sold it in bottles for two bucks/Then Coca-Cola came and bought it for billions, what the fuck?” I had to write that record. It was interesting, because I wrote the song and then played it for Jimmy Iovine and he looked at me and said, “Are you sure that’s what you want to say?” And I said, “Hell, yeah. That’s what I want to say to them.”

XXL: Where was he coming from?

50 Cent: I guess they wanted to find something that was heartfelt, or warrior music, like “Many Men,” that kind of feels like a war chant and that wasn’t on Curtis. And I think Jimmy was like, “Where is that song?” I was like, “If every album has that record, every album is the same.” I can’t make the same thing over. Put me in competition with another artist—you know what I do? I analyze my opponent, I find weaknesses, and I tear them apart; put me in competition with myself, and I’ve worked all my life to be stronger in times when I’m weak. So I don’t know quite which way I’m supposed to go to beat me. It just gets complicated at the points when people put me up against my material. Put me up against somebody else’s material, and then you won’t call 700,000 in the first week a failure. It’s just, my worst project sold 700,000 in the first week. That’s the all-time high for people. If you do a million in the first week, then you still have to top the masters. I’m the largest debuting hip-hop artist, period—and it doesn’t look like anyone is going to ever top it.

XXL: The interesting thing about your career is that you entered the game on a level that it takes most other superstars—the T.I.s and Lil Wayne’s, for examples—three or four albums to achieve. How do you think that’s factored into the changing public perception?

50 Cent: Yeah. Well, you know what it is? I’m on album four and it feels like album 11 because I’ve put out so much material, I’ve spoiled the shit out of my fans. People who love 50 Cent really love 50 Cent. And then, it’s interesting because even my system offers the anti-50 after they offer you pro-50. So the same guy that delivers my record to radio, turns around and delivers the fuck-you-50 record. This publication, you can find times where after a 50 Cent cover comes someone who’s anti-50 Cent on the cover, because 50 Cent sells the publication, and the general interest of the hip-hop culture sells it, and then after that does well, they go to the other guy who’s anti-50 Cent so I can sell the cover again. So, it’s interesting. I just watch it and go, “That’s good business on their part, because they’re interested in this, so give it to them.” Hip-hop culture is now pop culture, so it’s good business.

XXL: Will we ever see another G-Unit group album?

50 Cent: Yeah, there’ll be another G-Unit album, and [Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo] could expect their solos. Like, Lil Wayne—when you don’t see an artist as a temporarily good, then you can continue to invest in him until he actually has his moment. Right now, what he is on, album six? So, that’s a father’s love for his child, to allow him to continue to invest in him until he has his moment.

XXL: Do you see yourself ever opening the doors again for G-Unit, where you’ll bring in outside acts again, like you did with M.O.P., Mase, and Mobb Deep?

50 Cent: Yeah, I’m getting ready to bring in a whole batch of new artists.

XXL: New artists, or just guys who will be new to G-Unit?

50 Cent: New talent—I’m excited. My parameters will be different on what I do to support the actual artists, but as far as artist development and grooming them to the point when I feel they’re ready, that’ll be excellent. I’m excited about it, because I don’t feel like I’ll ever be as big as I want to be based off my own success. It’ll be based on my success and the success of others around me. I’ll provide those opportunities again. Like, Em can go home all the time and just chill. Not bother working, but I’m still here, and if he decides not to travel, I’m out there. I make [moves] everywhere, so it creates something that they can make reference to as why they’d have that interest.

XXL: What will it take to get Banks and Yayo back in the spotlight?

50 Cent: Just the presentation. Just the project, to put an album out. When you say… Really, how do you fall out of the public eye? Because you don’t have any material that’s being marketed and promoted. See, they didn’t lose their base we initially created, G-Unit; when we go touring, you see the three of us consistently. It’s just the relaunch, and to reestablish those albums that don’t have no holes in them. We have to work on those projects as hard as we work on the 50 Cent project.

XXL: They’re not longer singed to Interscope, right?

50 Cent: Well, no. And it’s a blessing that it’s not still yet, because the building has changed. Interscope is a system that’s in a different space. A lot of companies are in different spaces, they got rid of 60-percent of their staffs. So you don’t know exactly what all those things are. But we’ll put their projects together and find a way to put them out.

XXL: There was a record on the last project called “Smile (I’m Leavin’)” that goes at Jimmy Iovine directly. What was his response when he heard that record?

50 Cent: Well, see that song never actually made the record. I wasn’t sure the world knew who all those people were, so I left it off the album, but it meant something to me. And I was kinda writing to other artists, not to Jimmy. He didn’t have a problem with it. It’s business. Really, I was writing, “Smile, nigga, my next album might be my last,” to other artists.

XXL: You still feel that way?

50 Cent: I was saying that to them because they still gotta watch. Rappers are like fighters—they go in the gym for the first time and they might not be prepared. And they’ll come at me prematurely and I’ll spank them. I’ll win, without it even going 12 rounds. These things happen because they’re conditioned. They walk into the studio like they’re the champ; they watch the tapes and they study the champ, and they get ready to beat him, just like the fighters. And they never quite know when to quit, and they stick around like fighters until they’re not as good as they were. —Matt Barone

SUPER TUES. FIRST WEEK SALES PREDICTION: SNOOP,GUCCI& TIMBERLAND AND MORE

Last Tuesday was a big week for hip-hop as record stores saw five major albums drop from Snoop Dogg, Clipse, B.G., Gucci Mane and Timbaland. In a year where projects are more likely to get pushed back than actually pushed, that’s a lot of music for rap fans to consume. But with the industry still in the grips of a recession and sales at an all-time low, the number of units these MCs will push is anyone’s guess—including XXL’s staff. Still, we got our betting pool going and tossed out a few first week predictions. What do you think these rap stars are going to sell come Wednesday and who do you think is going to snag that No. 1 spot—if at all?

Woman Hospitalized Unknwon, Possibly Tigers Mother-in-Law

The wife of Tiger Woods was seen leaving Health Central Hospital early Tuesday morning after a rescue call to the couple’s Isleworth mansion.

Dispatchers received a call from the home at 2:36 a.m. A radio log showed an adult woman was transported to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee. The log also showed the patient initially refused transport, but was later listed as an advanced life support patient.

It has been reported that the mother of Tiger Woods’ wife, Elin Nordegren, had arrived in Central Florida on Monday. It is not known if she was the patient.

Video from the hospital showed a middle-aged woman being removed from an ambulance on a stretcher and taken through an emergency entrance. Health Central is the same hospital where Woods was taken after his crash on Nov. 27.

THAT'S IT???? GOSPEL SINGER BEBE WINANS WILL NOT BE PROSECUTED FOR BEATING HIS WIFE . . . HE AGREED TO GO TO ABUSE COUNSELOR!!!

yesterday a Nashville judge dismissed domestic violence charges against gospel singer BeBe Winans. The judge DID NOT find that BeBe didn't do it, but rather she determined that BeBe ACCEPTED prosecutors to deal to dismiss the charges AFTER he attends counseling, and the counselors determine that he was no longer a threat.

BeBe reportedly attended at least one counseling session, and the judge DROPPED the charges at the request of the counselor.

But get this, instead of continuing to accept responsibility for his actions, BeBe's camp sent out a press release yesterday - saying that by dropping the charges, the judge was somehow "EXONERATING" him. Unfortunately, the RIDICULOUS claim in that release was picked up by the Associated Press.

Just as a refresher, the 47-year-old Winans, of Nashville, was accused of pushing his ex-wife to the ground Feb. 13 during an argument about their children.

For all you that want to hear what his WIFE has to say about it, check out the video below:

Camel Caught Buying Some Panties for Bey Bey...Hmmm

Jay-Z was spotted in the hot sex shop Wicked Wanda’s in Ottawa, Canada, and you won’t believe what he bought his wife. Details under the hood.

According to onlookers, he snatched up a rubber halter-miniskirt combo, a peep-hole bra and thigh-high stockings in skin-hugging latex. He was heard saying: “I like these a lot!”

As he paid for the merchandise, a fan shouted out to him asking if it was Beyonce’s birthday and Jay’s shy timid response was: “These aren’t for Beyonce – they’re for Sasha Fierce…and it’s MY birthday!”

Hmmm.. this is way outside of Jay’s character to talk out the side of his neck with comments like this but, I guess he let loose since he wasn’t in the states. Bout time.

DETAILS ON JAY Z'S SUPER-EXCLUSIVE 40TH BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

Just got some EXCLUSIVE details on Jigga’s celeb filled 40th birthday bash last Friday at the lovely Campo de Casa resort in the Dominican Republic.

The celebration began on Friday night, with an elegant dinner party. All the guests were asked to wear 1920s clothing and most complied (apparently Matty Knowles was too big to play dress up, and went in a regular suit).

During the dinner, Beyonce introduced and then played a video for the guests. In it, Jigga's friends and told him how much they loved him, and how special he is to them. It was at times EXTREMELY touching and, while Jay didn't cry, he was visibly moved by it.

The guest list included:

# Diddy & Kim Porter (sorry Cassie)

# Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz (sorry Mashonda)

# Kanye & Amber Rose (sorry John Legend)

# Beyonce's mom and dad (who didn't sit together at the dinner)

# Jay Z's mom, sister and a bunch of relatives

# Solange (without boyfriend Wale)

# Alex Rodriguez & Kate Hudson

# Jay Z’s business partners Lyor Cohen and Steve Stoute (both with their wives)

# Designer Tory Burch

# And of course, Oprah, Gail and Stedman (yes, all 3)

Once the dinner was over, the party began. There was first a show - which included fireworks, dancers and synchronized swimmers (yes, swimmers). After the show was over, they started playing hip hop and R&B and everyone danced the night away.

After a long evening, everyone retired to their own LUXURIOUS suites - which were provided COMPLIMENTARY by Beyonce. The next afternoon, everyone was invited to an informal brunch - where Beyonce actually took to the grill and helped cook the lobsters that were served.

After the brunch, guests were told that they could remain at the resort for the weekend. But Jay, Bey and a few other couples hopped on Jay's yacht - and took to the seas . . .

Finally - you're wondering - where are the pics, right??? Well Beyonce FORBADE anyone from bringing cameras or cell phones to the dinner/party. There was a photographer on hand though taking professional pictures, though. We're not sure whether Bey or Jay are gonna let any of them out.

MTO WORLD EXCLUSIVE: TRINA CHEATED ON HER NBA BALLER BOYFRIEND . . . WITH RAPPER SOULJA BOY . . . MADE THEM BOTH GET HER LIPS TATTED ON THEIR NECK!!

We have been trying to figure of why, for the last few weeks, we haven't seen NBA baller Kenyon Martin out with his girlfriend - rapper Trina. Well we've now learned that the two have decided to "take a break."

What happened?? Well we can't say for sure, but we can say that Trina's RUMORED relationship with Soulja Boy ain't just a rumor. The two of them have IN FACT been getting it in.

And here's where it gets even more interesting. Remember months ago when Soulja Boy got a tat of lips on his neck. Well now our snitches tell us that those lips are ACTUALLY Trina's. What’s even more SCANDALOUS!!! Soulja Boy and Kenyon both got the tats of Trina’s lips on their neck WITHIN THE SAME MONTH!!!

Trina GIRRRRRRL, we ain’t mad at you at all!!!

EDITOR'S UPDATE: In a report last week, we questioned whether rapper Soulja Boy's tattoos were authentic after a video surfaced from a recent Chris Brown concert. In the video, Soulja Boy did not appear to have any tattoos. Soulja Boy's people tell us that that was just some BAD LIGHTING. And that his tats are authentic!!!

Katt Williams Popped Again at GA, Walamrt

We don’t care what his attorney has to say about this one… this brother seems to need an intervention! Katt Williams was just arrested again, but this time… you will be surprised to find out where this guy was:

What has undoubtedly been a troubling year for Katt Williams has just gotten a little worse. The comedian turned actor-rapper has just been arrested for the second time this year after authorities in Newnan, Georgia claim the funny man was cited for having been involved in a disturbance at a local Wal-Mart.

Members of Newnan PD cordoned off the superstore in its entirety as they questioned Williams and his entourage. Two members of the group were haled off and are expected to be charged with disorderly conduct. Williams, born Micah, was also taken away after it was revealed that he was the owner of a tractor trailer involved in the scene. Drug dogs were called to the scene, after which, he was placed in handcuffs and taken away.

Whether drugs were found has yet to be revealed.

Williams was arrested and jailed last month in Coweta County, Georgia after criminal charges of burglary and criminal trespassing were filed against the star.

R&B SINGER PLEASURE P FROM THE GROUP PRETTY RICKY GETS CAUGHT UP IN CHILD MOLESTATION ALLEGATIONS!!!

Some very SERIOUS accusations are being levied against R&B singer Pleasure P (Gov't name, Marcus Cooper). The rumor mill is BUZZING with allegations that he acted INAPPROPRIATELY with at least two children, a boy aged 3 and a girl aged 4.

The rumors of Pleasure P's inappropriate behavior have been around for many years. But they heated up in early 2007 - right around the time that Pleasure P was asked to leave his group - Pretty Ricky.

Now these are VERY serious allegations, and because up until now, we were never able to locate ANY information or documents linking Pleasure P with any child sexual abuse, we've refrained from reporting on them.

But now, MediaTakeOut.com has gotten its hands on one. In the below document, it shows that Pleasure P's 3 year old nephew was REMOVED from his parents and placed in a shelter. And in the removal docs, the court SPECIFICALLY forbids Pleasure from coming in contact with the child - implying that he acted inappropriately in the past.

And there's more proof, Pleasure P's bandmates are NOT Commenting OR DENYING the rumors. In fact, they have come out SPECIFICALLY to say that they KICKED HIM OUT of the group. Here's their statement:

"Unfortunately, due to Pleasure P’s lawyer filing an injunction against us from speaking, we are not at liberty to speak about the case.

How ever we will let it be known that we did kick him out of the group, he did not leave on is own free will. We did a deal with Atlantic via Craig Calman that we would let him out of the group if they bought out his contract with us and Blue Star which is the official label of Pretty Ricki.

We are not at liberty to discuss why we kicked him out of the group.”

This is very disturbing!! For now, we're going to consider Pleasure P innocent. But dude really needs to come out and EXPLAIN THIS MESS . . . cause it don't look good AT ALL!!!

MICHAEL JACKSON'S ESTATE PAID OFF ALL HIS DEBTS . . . OUT OF THE MONEY THAT HE MADE SINCE DYING!!!

According to reports, Michael's estate has paid off all the debts that plunged his life into turmoil. And they managed to do so barely five months after his death.
How'd they manage this? Well Michael’s made a FORTUNE since he passed away. Here’s how the UK’s Daily Express is reporting it:

Music royalties and box-office takings for the film This Is It have brought in almost half-a-billion dollars to the King of Pop’s estate.

The phenomenal flow of cash, which does not include income from Jackson souvenirs and memorabilia, more than covers the estimated $500 million he owed.
We know what you're thinking. Michael is being sued by everyone and their mama - so his estate might soon be back into debt. Well, according to the report, the money he's making now FAR EXCEEDS the amount he's being sued for. Check this out:

Jackson was already No3 on Forbes Magazine’s annual list of highest-grossing dead celebrities, behind fashion icon Yves St Laurent and composers Rodgers & Hammerstein, before This Is It was released last month. By yesterday, the film had raked in almost $240million worldwide, according to online monitor Box Office Mojo, with eventual income from DVD sales expected to double that. Sales of the spin-off double CD, which has made the top 10 in more than 120 countries, as well as re-releases of Jackson's classic albums, are "conservatively" expected to top $360 million by Christmas, according to Sony Music.

50 Cents BISD Sells 159k in First Week

50 Cent has officially hit a career low.

The G-Unit General landed on The Billboard 200 this week at the no. 5 spot—his lowest debut since 2007’s Curtis came in at second place below Kanye West’s Graduation. As expected, the disc managed to sell 159,700 units, according to the Nielsen SoundScan, marking the first time that the rap superstar failed to go gold in his first week.

As previously reported, when 50 first burst onto the scene with Get Rich or Die Tryin’ in 2002 he sold 872,000 units. In 2004, his sophomore album, The Massacre, rang up over 1.15 million discs and Curtis moved close to 695,000 units.

This go-round, his album leaked almost a month in advance, which undoubtedly affected his sales.

Meanwhile further down the charts at no. 25 is the Black Eyed Peas. The group’s latest disc, The E.N.D., pulled in 31,200 units in sales this week, bringing their 25 week total to 1,387,300.

Jay-Z landed five more spots down at no. 30. Fans rang up 29,100 units of The Blueprint 3 this week, making his 11 week tally stand at 1,300,300.

Rap legend Rakim failed to break into the top 40 this week with his comeback album The Seventh Seal. The independent offering, Ra’s fist disc in 10 years, sold 11,500 units in its debut week on the charts.
